Exploring Force & Motion

Students in second grade are learning all about Force & Motion. Today we tested different lubricants to see how they reduce friction.

We also learned about inclined planes and how when you reduce the amount of force needed to pull or push an object there is a "trade-off" meaning that the object must be moved over a greater distance.

Let it Snow!

Pre-K students have fun making "snow" before winter break.

You can easily make this at home. Simply mix 1 and a half cups of baking soda together with 1/4 cup of hair conditioner. You may also add glitter for a touch of sparkle.
(Then it is all about feel. If you want it more moist, add more conditioner. If you want it more fluffy, add more baking soda.)
