It's a Matter of Fact!

First graders concluded their unit on Matter by making homemade butter. We watched a liquid turn into a solid by shaking jars of cream just like the Pilgrims did on Thanksgiving!

Sink or Float?

Pre-k students learned about buoyancy and tested objects to see if they would float or sink in fresh and salt water. Then we made clay boats so our gummy bears wouldn't get wet!

Students in Pre-K used their prior knowledge of chemical reactions to make these awesome Bubbling Boo and Exploding Pumpkins. When we let our secret ingredient (baking soda) mix with our vinegar and cornstarch mixture, we saw how quickly gas was made.

Popcorn Explorations

Today the students in Kindergarten used all 5 senses to observe POPCORN! We all agreed that the popcorn would have tasted much better with lots of butter!
